Build Your Own Tiki Bar
People love to spend their time in the comfort of their family and friends, so they would surely find every piece of advice that books can give just to create a family-oriented scene in their backyards. I am guilty of this. My first attempt of building a tiki house was a complete mockery! Its juts like a price of crap standing there at the backyard.
With my growing interest about Polynesian, I become desperate to look for ways or even person who could just make me a real good tiki bar. You may say I’m overstating the issue, but this is the truth. You see, I live in a real cold place, and so I could never find someone who is good enough to incorporate tropical look on a place that usually snows. Moreover, as much as I want to spend, my budget won’t permit me to splurge several thousand just for a resting place.
Good thing, my loving husband gave me a book entitled “How to Build your Tiki Bar” which was written by Kevin Dunn. I’ve seen many ebooks before and all I can say is this is the only one who gave me clear list of instructions, presented materials that will be needed, and gave the total plan of what the output will look like. Actually, the author teaches the procedure on how to build a tiki bar in a size of 8’ x 4’- just enough to fit our backyard.
The ebook contains 41 pages with photos showing on how to do the right procedure so even a woman like me can follow the carpentry procedures with ease and not to mention, without the help of my husband!
When I finally shown to my husband the finish product, he was completely speechless instead he just invited his friends over for a cool refreshing drink while I make Champagne Martini on the Ice!
The tiki bar itself is not a shrinking giant that would fall off once you sneeze! It’s made to last a lifetime and it won’t decline even though exposed to all kinds of summer storms. In fact, when my husband’s friends came over, they told me that it’s decent enough to be used for businesses. Contains cupboards, a little space where you can mix drinks and even an electric option if you want to add some light while you party.

I know there are ready-made tiki bar out there that will save me from the hassle of building one but no regret, the feeling that you had accomplished something is rewarding that it can’t be expressed even on words. Plus, hey I’ve got to save almost ¾ of the actual cost if I buy those ready made ones that I never really know what materials had been used.
The book was a great help. I haven’t had any hard time looking for the materials since almost all of them are readily available at the local building supply for totally inexpensive price.
